2.3. Economical decision levels

Decision rules and control methods' selection were tested and adapted for the studied protected crops during the last three years. The IPM programmes for these crops which include also the risk assessment rules and the species identification, incidence and importance of key-pests and their natural enemies were published on a Technical Manual. In May, the main results were presented at Agricultural Polytechnic Schools and to the staff of the Regional Agricultural Services and to growers. Posters with final results were distributed to grower's Associations in the Oeste Region. Studies on crop loss assessment continued in cereal maize infested with spider mites, citrus groves related with citrus mealybugs and stored maize related with stored pests.
